“I fell in love with photography at twelve, when I borrowed my mother’s reflex analog camera. My passion led me to self-teach myself, relentlessly studying Life’s books on the camera, the negative and the print. I actually improvised a darkroom in my bathroom where I spent countless hours learning the art of film processing and printing.

It felt great to discover that through photography I could express myself in a language of beauty and emotion — and to experience the magic of transforming those moments into stunning, timeless prints.”

​After a successful career in fashion and advertising, shooting for Glamour, GQ, Esquire, and advertising campaigns, Sergio experienced in 2009 a turning point that led him to leave commercial work behind. Since then, he has devoted himself to creating portraits and body work that are raw, poetic, and deeply human — luminous and dramatic black-and-white photographs that radiate strength, insight, and reverence.

Among those who have posed for him are celebrated figures from the worlds of cinema, music, and dance.

 His artistic work has been exhibited in Paris, Panama, and is consistently present at international photo fairs in Paris and New York.

Today, Sergio lives in Montreal with his wife and four children, always seeking, always creating.
